Description
The parisch church dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary stando in the center. The entrance is from a staircase.
As inscribed on a "serizzo" stone recently discovered in the loft, the church was erected between 1672 and 1678 by Tommaso Rudie, a master mason from Vercelli.
The building has a single nave; the three chapels facing onto the right side are dedicated to St Anthony, the Holy Crucifix, and the Rosary. The three chapels to the left are entitled to St Rocco and to the Souls in Purgatory.
Noteworthy is the Baroque main altar, of polychrome marbles. Unfortunately, the most valuable ornaments have been recently stolen.
